Chang and Eng - The Siamese Twins -

Born in Siam in 1811. By the age of 28, these twins had accumulated a small fortune of about $60,000.00.  They courted and married sisters in 1843.  Between them (Chang and Eng) fathered 22 children - All (were) normal, except 2 who were deaf mutes.

A number of Freaks were able to afford real estate and to retire comfortably.  Chang and Eng owned a farm, a business and several slaves in North Carolina.
